Joint Venture Projects This company is a joint venture between DGL Industrial based in Victoria and PFP Systems based in Queensland. The joint venture was formed in 2003 in order to pool the resources of two small businesses to create an entity with sufficient financial and technical capabilities to target the major regional resource projects unencumbered by any reliance on the support of larger players. The two participants in this arrangement still operate independently under their own separate banners and simply cooperate by agreement on specific projects identified as justifying a united front. To date this has resulted in successful completion of two cementitious fireproofing projects on the PNG Refinery project for Clough Niugini and the Shell HDS2 Project in Brisbane and Geelong for CBI Constructors. Both of these projects involved the supply and application of Fendolite M11 fireproofing to structural steel. The PNG project was profile sprayed on site and after steel erection. The Shell project was spray applied to solid box configuration and finished to square straight lines on modules in the fabrication yard in Brisbane. The modules were then barged to site in Geelong and connections were completed on site. The joint venture has recently completed a multi-discipline project for Downer Engineering Power on the Caltex Clean Fuels Project in Brisbane. This project included supply and application onsite of Chartek Epoxy Intumescent fireproofing, Fendolite M11 Cementitious fireproofing, Parchem HB40 Concrete fireproofing, Parchem EP120 Epoxy grout, Parchem HF Cementitious grout, mineral fibre insulation & sheet metal jacketing and International Paint protective coatings. We believe the combined, vast experience of these two partners in the management, supervision and installation of specialized industrial applications along with an impressive inventory of the associated specialized equipment makes the joint venture a clear leader in the market. The meeting of these two company cultures has also resulted in the highly productive blending of methodologies, systems and concepts, which have led to benefits for both the joint venture, the two partners separately and of course, our clients.
